Some thoughts

I always hope my thoughts will be conveyed in words in the same way I am thinking them.  Here are my thoughts for the day:

People are so confused.  We seek adventure, pleasure, and entertainment to be cathartic to our souls.  We justify our thoughts, and perspectives regardless of how ridiculous it might be logically.  We feel we don't need help, don't need saving, and have everything under control.  Scripture says otherwise:  We have missed the mark; we've fallen short. The target is impossible for us to hit. How do we come to the end of ourselves?  How do we depend on God more?  How can we get people to understand that they are in need of salvation? 

Ok.  No answers. Only more questions.

I'm thinking we should post more.  So, beginning this week, I'm going to share my thoughts, even if only to capture what's happening with us so that I can actually remember what DID happen.   I'm terrible at capturing moments.  I always think about the pictures and videos I forgot to take.  

Today, we got a surprise solicitor who wanted to sell a paving job.  I've wanted to do that for some time, and the price was right, so we did it.  It's weird to wake up thinking your day is going to go one way, then it goes completely different.  Aydan and Mireya, my nephew and niece had a great time riding bikes on the newly paved driveway.  I can't wait for the rest of our kiddos to see it. 

On the downside:  I had to postpone my doctor's appointment because of it.  So off to the doctor tomorrow.
